Choosing what happens at the sides
A stretched print has four visible sides, and you decide what goes on them. When part of the picture matters right up to the border, choose the mirrored or plain finish so nothing is wrapped out of view.

- The picture continues onto the sides. A narrow band moves from the border onto the frame.
- Mirrored
- The border is flipped onto the sides, so nothing at the front is lost.
- Plain band
- The sides are a single colour and the picture stops at the front face.
Looking after it
- Dust with a dry, soft cloth. No cleaning products, no water.
- Keep out of direct sunlight and away from damp rooms.
- Hang with the hardware supplied rather than adhesive hooks.

About this painting
Silent Visitors gathers a row of tall, luminous shapes that hover somewhere between figure and pure gesture. Thick vertical strokes of pink, turquoise and cream are pulled downward in an impasto-style build, leaving ridges of colour that read like folds of cloth. The forms crowd together without touching, each one distinct, as if a silent assembly had stopped mid-approach. Cool blues on the left give way to warm corals and magentas on the right, so the whole surface seems to drift from dusk toward something brighter and more insistent. Up close the texture is almost sculptural — glossy peaks, buried layers, small flashes of yellow and green surfacing between the strokes. It is a piece that reads calm from across the room and unsettled the nearer you get.
